Visit to Garden and Library
Yesterday Room 1 met Room 2 at Washbourne Garden for lunch! We had lots of fun running around, feeding the ducks and playing with the balloons which some people gave us. Then Room 1 went to the Richmond Library. We got split into two groups. The first group went with Laura and got a tour of the library. Lucy read a story to the other group. Then the groups switched around. We got to issue books out on our Library cards if we had one. We can get out up to 20 books! It was a fun day. Thanks to all of the parents who came with us and helped out!

Letters to Little Red Riding Hood
Dear Red Riding Hood
Were you scared when the wolf came because I was! He had sharp teeth and pointed claws. Thank you for the delicious cakes and the pretty flowers. Come and see me again some time. Thank you for getting me out of the cupboard. Sorry the wolf tricked you. You were really brave. Please thank your dad for helping to save me. Was the axe sharp?
Love from Grandma (Mia)
Dear Red Riding Hood
Thank you for the delicious chocolate muffins. Were you scared when the wolf was chasing you? Was it scary when your Dad put you up in the tree? Were you feeling sorry for me getting stuck in a cupboard? Were you happy when your Dad killed the wolf?

Were you scared when the wolf chased you?I liked your muffins. Did the wolf try to eat you? Thank you for the food.

Dear Red Riding Hood
I liked the chocolate iced cake with banana biscuits. I was scared when I saw the wolf in my bed! I had to climb up into the cupboard to hide from the big bad wolf! He had very big, sharp teeth. I was glad your dad cut the wolf.

Shared Writing
Today in writing we wrote a character description. We found out this meant we needed to describe what the character looks like and their personality (the type of person they are). A character is a made up person, animal or creature in a book or program. We had a go as a class writing this one, then wrote our own. Come and read our story books for more fabulous descriptions.
