Bike Day

Today Room 1 had a very different and exciting day at school. We all brought our bikes and rode around the bike track on the back field. In the afternoon we biked on the front field as well as in and out of cones. It was so much fun and we only had three crashes!

Shark Mask

On Tuesday we made shark masks. Here's how we made the mask, first we had to get a card helmet that fit on our heads. Ava's mum helped us. After that we painted the helmets. Then we cut out an oval shape out of pale blue and dark blue card. When we finished cutting out the blue piece of card the teacher checked it and we got to cut out a black piece of card. for the mouth. Then we cut out some teeth with some white paper. Here's how we cut out the teeth. We pointed the scissors one way then another way. Then you glued the teeth on to the black card. Next we glued the black piece of card on to the dark blue or pale blue card. The mask parade is going to be fun.
I wonder when the mask parade is going to be. I can't wait until the mask parade.

Another busy Week in Room 1

This week we had another class treat to celebrate our continuing hard work and good choices in Room 1.  It was a Wheel's Day.

On Friday we all wore our gumboots to school to support children's mental health and donated a gold coin. We wore the gumboots so it felt like we were walking in mud all day as it is for kid's with depression.

Museum Visit

On Tuesday my class went   to  the monster museum. It gave   me a fright. Some people got  a   fright as well because of the   monster models that moved   and their frightening noise. On the walls there were writing next to the paintings. At the end we got to hold bones and fossils. We drew pictures of Reptiles to bones. There were lots of bones to choose from. I really, really want to go again.
