Photo Experts

We are learning how to take fabulous photos.

Today we learned how to use the zoom buttons and to hold the button half way to let it focus before clicking the whole way down.

We also learned that there are different types of views. You could do a:
Giant View (as if you were looking down)
Possum View (as if you were looking up to climb a tree)
Snail View (as if you were crawling along the ground)
Eye View (from the same level as your eyes - most of us usually do this!)

We experimented in the playground taking these types of photos. Have a look at our awesome photography.

Art Road Show

Today the Real Art Road Show came to Brightwater School. Room 1 and 2 went inside the enormous trailer and saw lots of different artwork. The artists used so many different things to create their artwork. They used pencil, paint, blankets, steel, neon lights, wood and even real animal parts. We had fun looking at the artwork and deciding why we did or didn't like it and wondered why the artist made their artwork.

The teddy bears in a circle. by Darby

Holly and me made a group of teddy bears in a circle. The colours of the bears were yellow, blue, red and green. We put red and blue teddy bears in the middle. We put the small teddy bears in the front then we put the teenagers and the adults at the back. They go from smallest to biggest. The bears in the middle are called Sophie and Sky from the Mama Mia.

Autumn's Leaves

Today Room 1 went outside to see what was happening to the trees in Autumn. We looked at the different coloured leaves and watched the way they fell to the ground. We saw bare branches and leaves covering the ground. We picked up the leaves to see what they felt like, then we walked through the leaves and listened to the noise it made.

Then we wrote stories about what we saw, heard and felt.

In Autumn the leaves are green red orange and brown. They fall off the trees and land softly on the ground and they make a crunching noise. They look beautiful on the ground.
Mia

The whistling wind blows the leaves out of the trees.
Cole

In Autumn the leaves fall to the ground silently. They are different colours. When you pick up the leaves and you crunch them they make a sound.
Jess

In Autumn leaves fall. They fall everywhere. The ground is messy. Leaves float down. Leaves are colourful. The trees don't have much leaves. The leaves have lots of colours and the leaves die.

Crabs!

We are going to the Rocky Shore and Aquarium on Wednesday. We have been learning lots about fish, crabs and other sea creatures. Look at the crabs we drew today!

Hi. My name is Caleb. I was player of the day for my rugby team in the weekend. This is my trophy and player of the day ribbon. I was player of the day because I scored six tries. I did lots of mud skids. I was the fastest runner. My team got ten tries.
