Autumn's Leaves

Today Room 1 went outside to see what was happening to the trees in Autumn. We looked at the different coloured leaves and watched the way they fell to the ground. We saw bare branches and leaves covering the ground. We picked up the leaves to see what they felt like, then we walked through the leaves and listened to the noise it made.

Then we wrote stories about what we saw, heard and felt.

In Autumn the leaves are green red orange and brown. They fall off the trees and land softly on the ground and they make a crunching noise. They look beautiful on the ground.
Mia

The whistling wind blows the leaves out of the trees.
Cole

In Autumn the leaves fall to the ground silently. They are different colours. When you pick up the leaves and you crunch them they make a sound.
Jess

In Autumn leaves fall. They fall everywhere. The ground is messy. Leaves float down. Leaves are colourful. The trees don't have much leaves. The leaves have lots of colours and the leaves die.
