Descriptive Language

On Thursday we got to watch a 1minute snippet of a scene from Finding Nemo on YouTube. We paused the video to look at different features of Bruce (shark) and Marlin (clown fish). We made a huge of list of describing words (adjectives) about them. Then we talked about how they moved (verbs). Here are some of our descriptive stories...

The shark had evil eyes and a very hungry tummy. He wanted to eat the fish. The fish had smooth skin and the shark had a long tail and sharp teeth. He was fast at gliding and he was slippery. - Tom

In Finding Nemo Bruce the shark has a croaky voice and sharp teeth. The fish are scared of him so they dive across the sea. The fish are scared, frightened and terrified. - Ameera

Bruce has sharp teeth. They are very sharp. Bruce looks slimy and sludgy. The fish were terrified. Bruce is a great white shark. - Callum R

In Finding Nemo Bruce the shark was big and scary. Bruce had sharp and pointy teeth. Nemo was orange and white. Nemo had a small swishing tail. Nemo moved quickly around corners. Nemo was tiny. - Lane

The shark had very sharp teeth. The fish moved with their fins. The shark chased them. When they saw the shark their eyes went bigger. The shark said hello in a freaky voice. - Callum C
